No seriously. Need to go to the bank so Del Taco nachos for lunch.

Nachos on Farmville

Farmville has introduced a new crop for a special day.

You can now plant and grow Nachos. I made sure to plant this one in time to have them for lunch!

Spokeo Spooky

I may be coming late to the party, but today I learned about another site that pulls information from various sources and puts it into a directory.

Okay, so nothing new here right?

Well I searched my name and the information that was available was surprising. They got my astrological sign wrong but they knew my age, home phone number and address. Anyone who has ever lived at my house or used it as a mailing address was listed too with clickable links.

Scrolling further down the page, there was THAT picture of my house. Garage open, cousin watering out front - Google in all it's invasive glory.

Then median home values and income levels for my area.

When I first saw the Google photo I felt uncomfortable knowing that there was nothing I could do about it. This site has taken that feeling to new heights. Sure I'm on Facebook and LinkedIn. Yes, I subscribe to magazines and mailing lists. I know companies use my information for marketing purposes and that every second one of my email addresses gets sold.

Seeing so much information on one page finally put me over the edge.

So here's how to remove yourself:

1. Go to spokeo.com
2. Enter you name in the search bar
3. Highlight and copy (ctrl+c) the URL in your address bar at the top of your browser
4. Click on "Privacy" at the bottom right side of the screen
5. In the URL field, paste the URL (ctrl+v), enter an email address that you check often
7. Enter the characters you see in the security code box on the right
8. check you email and click on the link to remove your listing
